Biscoites is located on the Northern end of the island Terceira (means "third" in Portuguese) and is a very small village consisting of only the houses and land you see in these pictures.

Many areas of the island have hilly pastures separated by rock walls. The walls are interesting since there is no mortar to hold the rocks together.

This area of the island has a fairly rocky sharp drop off to the Atlantic Ocean.
